The Morning After

The phone rang in my bedroom this morning at 6:20 a.m., and it was Charlie asking me to bring over his glasses right away. So clearly he is making progress. He was in a chair sitting up when I arrived. He is very tired--he's had little sleep for two days--but he's doing extremely well, according to the medical staff and by my observation. He will be up and walking a couple of times today, and Dr. Jarnagin's associate said he would feel like a real person tomorrow.
